So the maid decides to go to school. COntinue her education... and 'Boy' am I up for that. It means we can at least add value to the life of an individual. That is fantastic. It also means that she can be totally independent and be able to provide bread for her family when she wishes. Nonody wants to be left behind. Education is a legacy.
We were all excited about this, even the maid herself was super excited. I had started to search for adult education centres within the area, so she can go and start the next stage of her life. Little did I know, that my friends mother would object. What was her response ' When I do not have a maid to help around, you want to send her to school?'
I have never heard any such negative comment, and the connotation......... O my WORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What she meant was.. if you think she has time on her hands to get education, perhaps you should send her over to help me with some of my house chores.
I can't think, I do not know what to do...
It is unbelievable.. in this day and age....O my Josephine!!!!!
